Market Closures for Christmas Holiday 2024

As the holiday season approaches, investors and traders are preparing for adjusted trading schedules across major U.S. financial markets. The Christmas holiday will see complete closures of key exchanges, with early closures preceding the holiday.

Official Trading Schedule

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq will observe the following schedule:

  • Tuesday, December 24, 2024 (Christmas Eve): Markets close early at 1:00 PM Eastern Time
  • Wednesday, December 25, 2024 (Christmas Day): Markets closed all day
